John has also served as Assistant Band Director at Millbrook High School for the past two years, working with the marching band and concert bands. For the past three years, Millbrook High School has earned the distinction of being a “Virginia Honor Band”, the highest honor a high school band program can earn in Virginia.
When not working, John enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah, playing tennis and golf, and working on home projects. John is excited to work with the fine students at Avon Grove and to build upon the many successes of the Avon Grove High School band.
